The Digital Generation

An article that looks at the interesting results of what happens when you remove technology from a childs surroundings for a week. I can’t say I’m surprised at the results she reports on but I couldn’t help smiling.

My life is surrounded by technology to the point where it is affecting my eyes. Articles like these inspire me to look at changing how I live my life to include more outdoors and less technology.

This quote jumped out at me:

Suddenly, I had children in the backyard collecting berries for their “fairy kingdoms”. Suddenly, I had children making mud pies. Suddenly, I had two children playing together and laughing more than they were bickering.
